Assistive Technology Seminar at Governor Morehead School – April 2

Governor Morehead School Alumni Association will be hosting an assistive technology seminar, sponsored by North Carolina Lions Foundation, on Saturday, April 2 from 9 am to 4 pm.

Presentation by Jack Mitchell, Vision Technology Specialist with Indigo Logix, and hands-on time with a variety of assistive technology.

Lunch will be provided free of charge to all participants. Please register, either by email/phone to Ricky Scott (rickyscott09@gmail.com) or online.

If you are planning to attend, please let them know what general type of technology you are most interested in (speech, braille, low vision, etc). They would like to focused more on particular types of devices, or even on a specific device at the beginning and end he day. Your feedback is needed to make this happen.

The North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH) is a special public library that circulates books and magazines especially made for persons who cannot use regular printed material because of a visual or physical disability. The library is located in Raleigh, but mails materials throughout the state. The NCLBPH is a state agency operated by the State Library of North Carolina as a part of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. It is also a part of the network of regional libraries operated by the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).
