Get your iBill Currency Reader from BEP

The iBill currency reader available to all US citizens and legal residents by the Department of Engraving and PrintingYou can now get your free iBill Currency Reader directly from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). This project is open to all citizens/legal residents of the United States who are unable to read regular print because of blindness or a visual impairment meeting the eligibility requirements.

All individuals interested in receiving a currency reader should complete and submit a Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) application for a currency reader (available from a link from the library’s homepage) and follow the instructions listed.

The North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH) is a special public library that circulates books and magazines especially made for persons who cannot use regular printed material because of a visual or physical disability. The library is located in Raleigh, but mails materials throughout the state. The NCLBPH is a state agency operated by the State Library of North Carolina as a part of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. It is also a part of the network of regional libraries operated by the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).
