The Library Invites You to an Accessible Travel Program

Join library patron travelers and an expert from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in the area of Vacation and Travel for People with Disabilities as they talk about their experiences traveling and provide tips on Accessible Travel and Good Places to Visit in North Carolina and other places. The event will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Longleaf Pine Room of the NC Museum of History in Raleigh. The program is Free! Light refreshments will be served courtesy of the Friends of the NC Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

The North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH) is a special public library that circulates books and magazines especially made for persons who cannot use regular printed material because of a visual or physical disability. The library is located in Raleigh, but mails materials throughout the state. The NCLBPH is a state agency operated by the State Library of North Carolina as a part of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. It is also a part of the network of regional libraries operated by the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).
